Jeanne, also known as Jano, is a French illustrator with a hint of Belgian.

After being a member of the ‘Ton PiquanT’ illustrators' collective in Brussels, where she lived for almost 10 years, Jano moved to Lyon in June 2023, and immediately joined the Bourrage Papier collective for new adventures.

In her work, the illustrator seeks to convey senses other than sight, using vibrant colours. Is it possible to smell a scent, feel a texture, listen to an illustration or feel its warmth? The themes of wandering, meditation and surprise in the face of the immensity of untamed nature are all present. Jeanne Saboureault is interested in colour and the emotions it conveys, but also in the way in which vegetable ink is created.

Since the end of 2023, she has been researching pigment creation and trying to create her own 100% natural colours. She would like to achieve vibrant colours that last on paper. Her research is ongoing and has no commercial aim.
