Julie is an artist and illustrator with a background in political sciences. She grew up in Eastern France, which gave me a taste for nature, wide open spaces and morning fog, but she lives and works in Brussels now.

Her artwork is rooted in narrative and onirism and explores what makes us sensitive and vulnerable human beings. She uses a colourful and metaphorical visual language to create illustrations that alternate movement and silence, melancholy and lightness. Biodiversity, social issues and mental health are her main sources of inspiration but She is always interested in new illustration challenges.

In her work, she mainly combines watercolours, ink and digital drawing. She enjoys bold colours and contrasts but also delicate gradients and layers. Since 2021, She has included risograph printing into her practice. Julie regularly draw for magazines, publishers, NGOS and institutions.
