Oh, how friendly these little characters from Yeye Weller are! Always with a lingering wink, a wry smile, and a raised thumb, they bring the balm our hearts so desperately need. Mind you, nice doesn't mean stupid. While the German artist's images provoke kindness, the message they convey can be a tad more acidic. Generally inscribed with typographical virtuosity and a strong glance toward the masters of the 1960s and 1970s, messages are an integral part of Yeye Weller's work. For his work as a draftsman is coupled with an undeniable science of graphic design, both in the visual catch and in the art of guiding the eye.
